Gamers Knowledge – Skribbl.io

Chances are, you’re good at drawing and vocabulary. If you would like to show off both of these amazing skills to the Help Force, make sure to read until the end.

How the game works.

You can play the game on any device which supports a typical and reliable browser. It requires zero downloads and can be played anywhere with an internet connection. Make sure to sit back, relax and enjoy time with your family and friends.

Setting up the game.

All you need to figure out is going to Skribbl.io. Voila! the game is set up in your browser.

Starting page.

The starting page is very crucial for your game. I will run through the meaning of all of the components in the starting page.

Text-box on the left – This is the space where you put your name.

Drop-down – You can choose the language you want to play the game in, in the Help Force since the main language is English. We play the game in English.

Play! button – This loads up an instant game, you get to join in a game with random people around the world. I don’t prefer this mode if you want to have fun.

Create Private Room button – This button loads up a private game, and you’re the host. I will talk a lot more about this later in the post.

Speaker button – At the top-left of the screen, you will see a speaker icon. That icon mutes and unmutes sound effects in the game.

A bit to the bottom, you should see a lot of information regarding the latest updates, bug fixes, about etc. I will leave that for you to explore.

Avatar!

If you look to the top of the site, you’re gonna see a nice character. To make changes to the character’s appearance, make sure to toggle with those 3 arrows. There’s also gonna be a nice little die which is to be used to randomise your character’s appearance.

Hosting a game.

If you want to play the game with a few of your personal friends, make sure to click on the “Create Private Room” button and get ready for a video ad. Well, after that’s done. You should be in the lobby, to the left you see a bunch of settings which once again, I will leave to you to explore. You can simply copy the link above or click on that option below for the link. Send the link to your friends and they should be added.

Playing the game.

Once you’re all loaded up and comfy in the game. If you see three random words on your screen, that means you’re a drawer. If you don’t, well, you don’t.

The main whiteboard in the centre is where the main drawing takes place. If you’re the drawer, you should see a bunch of drawing utilities below. The box on the top are the hints for the word, the clock icon shows how much time is left for the drawer to finish. You may be asking, where should the words be sent? The answer is this, the chat to the top right is where you use to communicate as well as guess the word. Remember to not make any spelling errors. The sooner you send the word, the more points you get. The drawer gets a fixed score too. The avatars on the left also have people’s scores. That vote-kick button on the bottom is for those who you think are breaking the rules. Do not use this option simply, it’s gonna be catastrophic if you do. The thumbs up and downs are just a mini-perk which you get to show your hate or love to the drawer.

Ads.

Well, ads are everywhere. An abundance of ads exists in Skribbl too. I would prefer using an ad-block if you don’t want these ads.

Tips

To finish off the post, I want to include these tips.

  • You can use a mobile device if you want to draw better.
  • You can be creative, don’t stick to the main word.

Conclusion.

Lastly, and importantly. The most important thing about the game is to ensure you have fun.
