Pride Month ’23

I hope you’ve all been having a pleasant Pride Month! Whether you identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community or not, Help Force is open and welcoming to all kinds of people, except for those who wear shoes. And visitors. And Fahrenheit users. And Apple users. And those who like strawberries. And—

In honor of this special month, I reached out to some queer members of our community and asked them what it means for them to be ✨ homosexual✨.

What does it mean to you to be part of the LGBTQ+ community, and what do you hope that others can take away from pride month? Do you have any messages for other queer people in the community?

Traffy, Sentient Traffic Light: In my eyes, being part of the LGBTQ community means a lot to me. It means that there are people out there who feel the same way as me, who understand the discrimination and bullying we go through. It’s reassuring to me that I’m not alone, that there are other people out there who relate and can help others out there who are struggling. There’s no one to judge you and it feels very safe and a very tight knit community. When I came out towards people at school I at the time didn’t want to, it all happened suddenly and if I’m honest completely by accident. But in a way it opened a door for me that lead to acceptance, leadership in the schools LGBTQ community and a lot of respect from people who before that would’ve completely disrespected me. I could’ve never expected that and the community was really opening and felt like a home to me. Before when I felt like I never fitted in now there was this whole community of people who themselves probably never fitted in, I felt accepted for who I was. I really hope others can take away a message of respect and kindness, we understand some of you may not support because of religious reasons but honestly all most of us ask for is respect, we can’t help the way we feel. We are human too no matter what we identify or love, and I hope other people can at least treat us respectfully. For anyone who is struggling in the community please know you’re not alone at all even in HF. There’s so many supportive people here who no matter what will support you. Keep going and in the end it’ll all fall into place and you’ll feel amazing when it does.

Beanieval, Local Homosexual: Being a part of the LGBTQ gives me a community where theres zero judgement to be who I truly am. I have been out since I was in 7th grade and got nothing but bullied for being gay and trans so I hope that people just open their minds cuz in the end we are all human we all sin and we all come from the same place. You dont have to have the same beliefs but at least treat us how you want to be treated cuz we have feelings too. As for the gay babies keep pushing thru. There is light at the end of the tunnel and tho it my not seem so rn I believe in you. Much love. Stay gay. And Happy Pride 🌈🌈

Lucifer, Local Homosexual: Being apart of the LGBTQ is something that had a longing effect on me and it brought out the person that I didn’t know but I somehow needed to be. It means quite a lot as there are so many bloody beautiful people who are like me who feels like they aren’t that worthy of this world and it’s true love, but one day I hope that we are known to be apart of this world and at least treated to the point that we are still humans. Yeah, there’s always going to those days we’re don’t get along that’s unfortunately life, but life doesn’t always have to be so rough. For the people in HF or what ever server whether you’re struggling with your sexual orientation or identity, know that you are not alone in this fight. Also, to those people who think LGBTQ+ goes against human nature and that we should be attracted to those of the opposite gender or be a man or woman as we are born to be, I’m not sorry that we exist, we aren’t going anywhere and we will fight for ourselves until the end of time to live. Straight or LGBTQ+, I love you all and really everyone deserves happiness. Stay who you are. Don’t let people change the lovely person that you are. Happy Pride Month, Loves.😉🤘💪🏳️‍🌈
