Hello Helpers!! Guess who is back with another blog! In this blog, I interview some of the Troops of Help Force and get to know them better. She has been a member of our help family since June 2025, is always around having fun in chat, and has ranked up to Sergeant Major! This week, we are introducing you to the Faces of the Force, our very own Xyra!!

What do structural engineers, a full-blown museum heist, and a secret trail of bug emojis have in common? They’re all part of our latest chat with the wonderful Xyra! Xyra joined the Help Force after waddling into a synchronised penguin crowd, and the good vibes haven’t stopped since. Today, they break down their ideal HF soundtrack (featuring French horns and circus synths as a nod to ELP), enthusiastically praise their closest server friends, and reveal why Tato would definitely get caught during a heist because of “vault acoustics.” Plus, keep your eyes peeled for those sneaky insect emojis—let’s dive into Xyra’s world!

I’m great, thanks!! How about you start us off by saying how u joined our server? 😀

Well, it was a while ago so its a lil foggy.. But, I wuz waddlin aroun, and saw an HF gatherin, and realized it was to in sync of a penguin crowd to not be sum kinda group! So I joined in, and gawt da discord! As soon as I joined I could feel the good vibes practically radiating of the general chats text, and I joined the squad! >:3

Since then, how have you been enjoying your time in Help Force? Do you have any fond memories of an event you participated in?

Ooo, yeee! This is honestly one of the top 3 best DC groups I’ve ever been apart of! Everyone is extremely kind, the mascot tracking is absolutely on point, and every chat feels very safe, We have had some absolutely wild fun and funny moments together; the time ELP reset the currency and–everyone absolutely lost their minds in the absolute chaos of our analog carnival leader *alternate description due to possible copyright*!

Then Juanita day when everyone was misspelling everything on purpose, and somehow we all just knew what we all meant – and all of our drawing games like gartic phone always go crazy, and after every one of them I’m basically a waterfall of giggling tears! We are always sharing our best selves in this server, people are kind, funny, warmhearted, and surprisingly talented! Who knew penguins were so gud at arts or crafts! But most of all when it comes to a community event we all work together like bees in a hive, and stuf gets done, I cant even belive the speed of our mascot trackers sumtimes… Makes me wanna be one :3

So, who do you consider your closest friend in HF

Oh naw, I gotta pick??
Well, everyone loves Techy, she is extremely kind, has exceptional music taste, and always makes the chat feel like its blooming with flowers and amp chords as soon as she drops in!
Sammie is definitely another beloved member, she is exceptionally fun, cool, kind, chaotic, but grounded all at the same time! A convo with her is a most pleasant surprise, like opening pandoras box but it only spits out clouds, alligators, and chill vibes! Oh, and I cant forget Mary! If u have a nostalgia hole that needs filling, just be in her presence, heh, she has an unmatched collection of club penguin and Pokémon merch, most of which isnt even sold anymore! Plus, I love her artwork, it absolutely radiates cute vibes!
I also wanna shout out thatonepear_9551, their electronic music is *really good*, I cannot get their newest song out of my head!

How would you describe HF in 5 words?

Safe, fun, silly, organized, nostalgic 🙂‍↕️

If you could change one thing about HF (or add anything), what would it be — and why?

I think there is really only one thing that I can think of, which actually shows something awesome about Helpforce! We have so much talent, that I think should make a channel or space completely focused on the creative energy we have in this server, and allow for tags on what kind if feedback or responses you are open to; constructive criticism, positive feedback, collaboration, or sumthin like that! can only imagine what we could do if we put our creative brains together! 🙂‍↕️

What’s a fun “hidden talent” or hobby you have that most people in HF don’t know about?

Well, I don’t think this is really hidden but; music! I live and breath it! I play a large variety of instruments; drums, piano, organ, guitar, bass, accordion, tap dance, and many more too!

I also write and record music in all genres; Jazz-Fusion, Rock, Prog, Manouche, Rap, Techno, Classical, Cinematic, Folk, Avant-garde, ect! When I listen to any music my brain will analyze it *and* feel it at the same time, and it’s kinda like watching a sports game for me!

“Omg, will I think they will add a triplet here.. Come onn, tripletttt… YES THEY DID THE TRIPLET! OVER PHRYGIAN?? I LOVE PHRYGIAN! LETS FRICKIN GO AVISHAI COHEN!” :laughing:

Although on the flipside, my favorite songs are the ones that make me feel *something*, and I love sitting for hours letting the music whisk me away in pure color and emotion. I also love sharing music, and teaching is one of my favorite things to do with it! I always try to make it fun and exciting, because when a student perfects the muller technique and absolutely beams in confidence instead of losing their spark, it fills me with absolute joy! :3 If I had to pick five artists right now, (this will be hard) I think I would pick; Tigran Hamasyan, Sean Ono Lennon, Daniel Pemberton, System of a Down, and Snoop Dogg! :3

If you had to pick one song from your top artists—whether it’s Tigran Hamasyan or System of a Down—that has the ultimate ‘sports-commentator moment’ for your brain, which track is taking the trophy?

I think for today, I would land onnn; Out of the Grid – Tigran Hamasyan! The meter play is absolutely insane, the way each instrument is played is so creative from how it is typically used, and when I listen to it I grip every bar with my entire soul! The piano is used percussively even more so than Freddie Mercury, the bassist uses the volume to warp his sound, and the drummer? The drummer is a frickin force of polymetric nature! Then about halfway trough the song it cuts out, leave room to reset, and then…  It feels like a large question became human again, and is learning how to walk and breath again after stepping out of its box for the first time… The singer, following the piano like a ghost made out of pure passion, as the synths start to twist and remind it, that it is still made of questions, and cosmos, and ever changing space-time.. But that’s just how I see it

What’s another music theory curveball or secret ‘play’ in a song that instantly makes you jump out of your chair?”

It starts with what sounds like the howling of wind in a stale corridor… Then the interlocking of two warbled guitars lulls you into the weird. And then…
The bass, guitar, and drums all come in, passing pulses back and forth in a melancholy ocean of deep vibration… And then the climax; the band explodes into polyrhythms as the song starts to flutter away into deep suspense!

Drums, piano, guitar, organ, bass, accordion, AND tap dance?! If someone forced you to form a solo one-man band show using three of those at the exact same time, which three would you pick, and how does that setup even work?

Ooo, I’ve tried dis before! Right hand piano, left hand hammer on electric guitar, right heel bass drum pedal, right ball of foot snare pedal, left ball of foot a sheet of metal or some pedal rigged to a highhat, and then my voice! Ive never gotten this full setup completed yet! 😆

When you see that spark light up in a student’s eyes after mastering a tough rhythm, what’s the very next ‘boss battle’ song or technique you love throwing at them?

I like helping them build a language that is unique to themselves; Teach them songs that *they* are interested in learning, even if it’s Pokémon, and working with them on building blocks of music like rudiments, chords, and scales! The most important part of learning music, is messing around, making mistakes, and improving what is important to *you* :3

If you were hired to compose the official background soundtrack for the Help Force server, what bizarre instruments or objects would you use to capture our vibe?

Okay, I’ve been thinking about this, currently I’d probably syncopate it to show the choatic silliness, I’d i probably start by trying to write it in 4/4 to show stability too, id probably use some nostalgic fluttery sounding synths that echos the vibes of Club Penguin, Pokémon, and Minecraft, some horns (most likely french horns) for a triumphant feeling, a deep earthy electric bass as a call out to the other music lovers, and definitely some circus vibes to show the essance of our all mighty leader ELP! :3 Although if i actually did it, I might get some ideas while writing I like better

If you had to pick a 4-person team from HF to pull off a high-stakes museum heist: who is the mastermind who makes it out with the loot, who is the getaway driver, who is the right-hand man for the mastermind! And who gets caught because they got distracted by the acoustics in the main vault?

I’d make Emma the mastermind; she is a structural engineer, so I already literally trust her with my life! Sammie would probably be the getaway driver; she definitely seems to have the guts! Id make you the right-hand man since you seem to be extremely organized.. Anndd, Tato would probs be the one getting distracted, lel >:3

What kind of food do you enjoy?

Well, I’m kinda weird about food; I like almost everything from burritos to spanicopitas, to mushrooms, to tripe, to ghost peppers. But… sometimes my autism takes over, and I have to resort to my safe foods like tomato soup! :3 I love interesting or spicey fuds, and just two days ago a slurped a ladle of ghost pepper sauce and far surpassed Rett and link by hours, no ice cream and no milk I also like to cook. I just made myself sum healthy chocolate smoothie, and mushrooms yesterday! How is the chocolate milk healthy u ask? All it is is milk, coco power, and banana! :3

Are you currently reading any books or watching any series? Which genre do you like the best?

I am currently reading a book called ‘Stop Me if You’ve Heard This One’, tis the perfect mix of absolutely hilarious, and deeply personal! For series I’m currently on the last season of What We Do in the Shadows.. Its so good and I dont want it to end… My favorite movies and series of all time? Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Deadpool, Spiderverse, Nimona, The Godfather, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Suicide Squad 2!

If you were a bug in the Help Force ecosystem, which insect are you, and what secret bug-themed powers or Easter eggs have you been hiding in plain sight?

I just like bugs a lot, especially bees wasps spiders and beetles, although i really just like all living things . Im sure someone must have noticed, but I always sneak but emoji reactions in da server, and also in my statuses. If anyone ever wants to see cool animal photography i gawt endless photos :3

If you had a ticket to go anywhere in the world, where would it be? Would you like someone to tag along with you? If yes, who?

I’d wanna go to Paris again.. Cobbled streets, gothic buildings, Louvre, Catacombs, Palais Garnier Burlesque, Mimes.. I love artsy spooky, and dats one if my favorite artsy spooky hubs. If i were to bring someone, Id bring my musician friend! Then we could Monuche the streets until you the air thickens with theatrics :3
