Song of the Week #2

Hello helpers, Plotter is here with another song of the week!! It is from our adorable junior staff member, Javi! She suggested a song of a very interesting genre that people rarely venture into. The song name is ‘Russian’ from Caravan Palace.

Here’s what Javi had to say about the song:

Javi: It’s so upbeat, and i love when a song is interesting (good key/chord progressions, and fun twists in the tune) , it’s a great song and i mainly like it because it sounds good 🙂

Caravan Palace is a French band from Paris, such a glamorous place. The band members are Zoé Colotis, Hugues Payen, Antoine Toustou, Charles Delaporte, Arnaud Vial, PaulMarie Barbier and Camille Chapelière. Their music has also been influenced by various artists and bands, Django Reinhardt, Vitalic, Lionel Hampton, and Daft Punk. Their debut album was made in 2008.

I’d say they’ve done quite well since they  started. They are getting recognised on many platforms! Caravan Palace songs don’t always have lyrics, but they still sound very catchy and are always a good option if you want to dance a bit! I agree that the song is very upbeat! Little did I know that others are also interested in listening to Caravan Palace. They mainly dabble in making songs related to the genre of Electro-Swing. Electro swing, or swing house, is an electronic dance music genre that combines the influence of vintage or modern swing and jazz mixed with house and hip hop.

This was a fantastic song to hear, and like always… A playlist for the masses! Hope you enjoyed this week’s song and stay tuned for more.
