Hi Helpers! Welcome back to a new edition of Around the HF World, the series where we explore Help Force’s members’ countries! In today’s post, I had the chance to learn more about Pakistan & The UK from Laiba, a member who has been pretty active. So, let’s discover her countries!

The Country Interview
Howdy Laiba! Let’s start our journey by asking: What is your nationality? If you have more than one, please mention them!
hiii sammie!! so with my nationality i’m british asian and my ethnicity is pakistani
wow that’s so cool!!! Can you share some traditions with us? Pick which ever you’d like to talk about!
i’d say the independence day and eid are really big with majority of pakistanis! i don’t celebrate independence day but eid i LOVE so much. i love getting dressed up and eating amazing food!! it takes me 2/3 hours usually to do my hair and makeup on eid and i always like wearing traditional clothing too since i don’t do that often unless it’s a wedding-related thing. usually my relatives come over to my house and we either sit in my living room or garden to play games like mafia, articulate or games on my switch like mario kart 8 or mario party! it’s so much fun and i get really competitive too because i like winning LOL. in the UK, christmas and halloween are really big and i love seeing the christmas lights in my city every year. i find them so pretty and i also enjoy seeing halloween/christmas stuff in almost every store during this time of year. i just love the vibe of it all
omg yes i love christmas and holloween too! that’s so cool that’s you do so much for your traditional look! amazing food is always awesome! Care to share some traditional food from there?
oooo i love desi food a lot!! we have amazing curries but my favourite has to be nihari which is a stew, usually we have it with lamb or mutton i think, and we don’t have it too often but i love when we do! i’m also a big fan of kebabs and mango lassi too ugh i’m getting hungry thinking about it. with british food i do love a roast dinner or chicken and mushroom pie! the prep for the chicken and veg with the roast dinner is the easiest thing ever and then u just put it all in the oven so i love it
omg that all sounds sooo goood! wonderful! Is there any place you’d recommend to visit in particular?
for pakistan i’m not too sure because i only went once when i was a baby so i don’t remember anything about it but i always see videos of people visiting the mountains and rivers there so that’s pretty cool. as for the uk, i’d say london has a lot of food places and cool activities to do, there’s also lake district and the countryside areas like norfolk which i find really nice. there’s so much honestly
They all sound like beautiful & interesting places to visit! Now, please rate your country in the three categories we discussed, using a scale of 1 to 10.
traditions i’d give a 8/10, food i would give a 10000/10, places to visit i’d give a 7/10! it would be higher for places if i could experience more of it for myself but i hopefully will one day.
Finally, would you recommend foreigners to visit these places???
of course!! i’d recommend anyone to visit anywhere in the world honestly! it’s always great to travel, see different cultures and to have fun, new experiences :)))
Laiba shared some nice traditions, foods, and places from The UK and Pakistan! Thank you for being part of the post! Leave a comment on your opinion about The UK & Pakistan, and if you would like to visit it, and don’t forget to leave a like! See you next time!
The world reveals itself to those who travel.
