Hello Help forcers and friends! I’ve been very on time with my posts this month are you proud! 
Happily we have another update to World of Cinema!! Today we have a wonderful guest named Lirri! Lirri is also the winner of the past THREE Igloo of the Week competitions so make sure to congratulate them! Now without further ado, let’s get into the interview!

Okay awesome! I’m glad you’re having fun, even as our second time igloo of the week winner <3 For those who may not know you, could you introduce yourself?
Okay cool. Hello my name is Lirri, I’ve been in HF for around 2-3 years now i think. My favorite club penguin activity is decorating my multiple igloos. I also like doing art so I’ve gotten my art in the newspaper and my igloo in the newspaper already but my last goal right now is getting my art into jigsaw jam in cpj so let’s hope they like my submission! I’m not that active during battles because the time is a little too late for me but I do get to join the arcadium games a lot so you can see me then 😄

So would you say you’re a big movie person at all?
Not a big movie person, I did watch movies a lot while I was younger but not much anymore. I do like filmmaking though, I have a few certificates like film production and cinematography. I like editing videos
That’s amazing!!! The production part is always so interesting, I would love to do that one day. Even if you haven’t been watching movies lately, you must still have a favourite right?
I’m more of cartoons now i guess but movies… it’s very hard to pick. hmmmmmmmm

oooh okay lemme think. Best show’s gotta be Arcane (league of legends). I really like steampunk and they have AMAZING storytelling and weaving the story together. Yeah it’s so good, i wasn’t that interested at first when the summary was two sisters go to different paths in life like kinda boring summary but my friend was like “Lirri you like angst, you’ll love this!” so i was like okay i’ll watch with you so i can go read more angsty fanfics of it. it was great
For real no I loveee Arcane! Ok so arcane, for those who may not have seen it do you mind giving a brief synopsis?

Arcane is more than just any normal cartoon or movie. I would say it’s one of the best examples of film storytelling because so much emotion and tension is shown in each picture than what words can describe? Arcane is a tragedy and hope. It’s a story about two sisters born into a cycle of violence between the upper class and lower class and all they want is to get back at the upper class who they see as monsters. But life is unpredictable and the world is unkind so dominos fall and a burglary (as kids) leads to police brutality and a tragic accident where almost everyone they love is killed in front of them and they’re separated due to corruption. Years later, the sisters reunite but since the younger was raised as a killer without proper treatment for her trauma and the older had just escaped from jail, when they meet the older struggles with cognitive dissonance on how her kind sister has changed into a killer and the younger is trapped in trauma and believes that betrayal is the only true outcome. Despite wanting to be together as sisters more than anything else, their trauma, the ongoing class war, and all the characters on different shades of grey on the moral spectrum keep the dominos falling until the younger one believes that the only way to get out of the cycle is to destroy everything.
Wow that’s a perfect synopsis thank you. Ok so when you’re ready, the next question is what is your personal opinion on Arcane, if there’s anything that stands out
my personal opinion of arcane is that it’s definitely one of the best you’ll find. Like you really don’t know what’s going to happen in the next episode. It’s not predictable but it still makes lots of sense. Very good character design in personality and outfitting, great foreshadowing, rich world building, and fully fleshed out lives and cultures. Season 2 might not have been as good as season 1 due to the overly fast pace trying to tie up all of the stories too quickly but it’s still a good story. I’m looking forward to seeing the cartoon continuation in Noxus come out but I’m fully prepared to wait 6 more years to get the same masterpiece quality as Arcane S1. Oh and this is not a kids cartoon, I don’t recommend kids watching. Don’t get trauma kids

Wonderful, I love the way you articulate it, are you usually into this sort of genre? I don’t even know what to call it like action, drama, semi-romance?
hmm, my tastes change often but my usual genre I like is villainess isekai manga. For cartoons I like fully fleshed characters with angst and drama. I like seeing female leads with enough angst that they’ll make good fanfiction. hahaha… I don’t like Seinen but I’m a fan of shoujo occasionally. It’s a little weird but I find that what I like to watch has elements that can make good angsty fanfiction
Oh yeah I totally understand, it’s what adds so much depth to the story, like what makes it better. Now we’re nearing the end but who would you recommend this show to? Could be anyone
I’d say this is for someone who enjoys angst and hope, watching fully fleshed characters, and enjoys the morality struggle of right and wrong. If you found the trolley problem interesting you might enjoy this cartoon series.

awe thank you! 🥰 Hmm last words lemme think. If you already like Arcane or if you just finished watching arcane i recommend watching this guy’s youtube analysis on arcane. Just search for Schnee and every single on of his analysis just makes the cartoon even better. Watch if after finishing season 1 before going to season 2 and the cartoon just gets better and better and you can feel like you learned something new you didn’t see before.
