Not at all, I’m a music person
Yeah it’s usually one or the other, and movie’s haven’t been popular for a while. I’m very interested to hear what you have to say on the movie WOC web series. But I know you’ve seen some new movies recently, tell us about it!
Like I said, I’m more of a music person, so if you see me in a theater you make a wish, it’s a rare sight. But, as the internet unc I am, I knew about the backrooms concept for a long time now. I loved the concept, and learning that there was a movie coming out about them? I just had to see it
That’s awesome! I’m glad something got you to the theatres and it was something horror related. Do you like that sort of stuff or is it more because you knew about it from online spaces?
I usually don’t like horror movies, cause I’m bored out my mind growing up with slops like Anabelle, The Ring, The Nun and so on. So this peaked my interest since it was something different, and I already knew about it from the internet
Yeah totally, you knew the background of the movie and everything. Would you mind giving a brief summary and your personal opinion?
Brief summary… Hard to explain what the backrooms are. So, the backrooms can be defined as liminal spaces. aka empty or abandoned places that appear eerie, forlorn, uncanny, and often surreal. -Wikipedia lol. So this is a place where people and things glitch out to, or get lost to, and you get the feeling that you shouldn’t be there
All of this was born due to a single picture
A lot of people felt the picture was strange, like there was something wrong. As if those empty hallways were infinite, or something was hiding behind those walls. So a whole culture was created from that single picture, they added their own head canons made games made stories and… from my personal point of view, they got too far from the initial theme
Now the movie comes back to the feeling the OG pic gave you, and the feeling of “things seem wrong here”. So, a dude finds this backrooms, explores them, and… you have to watch for yourself
I’m sure most help enforcers have a good idea of backrooms, and you did a good explanation! Did you like the movie much?
Oh yeah I did like it a lot. It’s not “THE GREATEST HORROR MOVIE OF 2026” for sure, but it really is a good movie. Something new, something fresh, after all the horror slop we had before.
It sounds really good, I still have to watch it, mind giving us your favourite parts? (It’s okay if you spoil)

This movie relies a lot on it’s mystery, and on the unknown, that’s the fear factor for it, so if you read this spoilers I might ruin the experience for you, but here it goes. The first time our protagonist Clark enters the backrooms is so good, fills you with the sense of fear and uncertainty of the place, it establishes the backrooms so good. Then there’s the dinner scene, it explains everything in the movie, but also keeps you so much in edge, as Clark has become a psychopath and you don’t know what he is capable of doing to Mary.
Haha its okay!! I skimmed it to protect myself, but I’m sure others will love to hear it, thank you goldenie. Would you recommend this movie to the readers?
