Food For Every Soul

Hello Helpers! Welcome back to another edition of Food for Every Soul! In this series, I interview people from the Help Force about their favourite and famous recipes. For this week’s recipe, I interviewed Shorty!

I started by asking her some questions about the recipe she had decided to share with us today.

Welcome to our recipe series interview today! Can you tell us which recipe you will be sharing?

Korean Crab Soup – My Korean mother in law taught how to do it, it is so quick and delicious.

I love a good seafood dish! Can you tell us why this recipe is important to you, and is there any history or story behind it?

I like it because it was the first meal my mother in law made for me, she knew I love crab and she remembered. it’s a comfort meal after a long day because it is easy and quick to make at home.

Here is the moment we’ve all been waiting for: the recipe for Crab Soup!

Ingredients:

– 3 full crabs
– 2 tablespoons of fermented bean paste named “Doenjang”
– 3 tablespoons of Soy sauce for soup
-1/2 of a Julienned onion
– 4 tablespoons of Korean chili powder (Gochugaru)
-Lots of minced garlic
– One tablespoon of sesame oil
– 1/2 tablespoon of Dasida ( Korean beef broth in powder)

Instructions:

– First Clean the crabs well, remove all impurities, place them in a large pot and fill it with water, add all the ingredients at once, mix well and wait until done. Serve with steamed white rice!

Do you have any tips or t

ricks on making it, or why people may like this recipe, or any memories from it?

There’s something deeply comforting about a bowl of crab soup. From the first warm spoonful, it feels like a quiet kind of luxury—rich, delicate, and full of flavor without ever being overwhelming. The sweetness of the crab meat stands out in a way that feels both fresh and indulgent, as if the ocean itself has been gently poured into the bowl. Loving crab soup isn’t just about enjoying seafood—it’s about enjoying something that feels thoughtful, comforting, and quietly special all at once.

Thank you for this very delicious recipe! Do you have anything else to say to the audience?

If you make it, please tell me how it worked for you, and if you need any assistance I’d be happy to guide you. ☺️I hope you love it as much as I do. 💖🫰

And with that, we’ve reached the end of the post. I will be back next time with more fresh and delicious content. If anyone would like to share a recipe with us, DM me with your ideas!

Bon Appétit! <3
