Food for Every Soul

Hello Helpers! Welcome back to the first 2024 edition of Food for Every Soul by myself, Mayathefirst! In this series I interview people from the Help Force about their favorite and famous recipes. For this first one, I decided to interview the person that would make this a great start of the recipe series, one of our HF Twin Oreo/Trustees: Snowy

I started off by asking Snowy some questions about the recipe she decided to share with us today!

Welcome Snowy to our first 2024 interview! Can you tell us what recipe you will talking about today?

Snowy: The recipe I have for you today is called Potato Mash. It’s called that because when I invented it many years ago, I was listening to the 1962 hit single “Monster Mash” by Bobby Pickett while admiring potatoes. It’s made with beets.

Interesting… Can you tell us why this recipe is important to you? Is it a family recipe, and is there any history or story behind it?

Snowy: It’s not important to me. Potato Mash easily ranks in the bottom 500 of things I’ve done, just under leading Help Force and paying taxes.

Who knows where this recipe is going… But here comes the best part, the recipe! (As explained by Snowy!)

Potato Mash Recipe (serves 600)

» 1 visitor, preferably an annoying one

» 25 kilograms of beetroot, raw and unfiltered

» 2 cups mashed beetroot

» 7 ounces peeled beetroot

» 14 cups beetroot skin

» 3 tablespoons ground beetroot

» 1 teaspoon beetroot powder

» 2 cups kosher beetroot

» 1 pint wild Canadian beetroot

Ban the visitor. Get a large bathtub and fill it with water, letting it simmer on the stove. Place beetroot and other ingredients in water and cover with a lid until ready. Depending on serving sizes, can serve anywhere from 6-600. Do not ingest or consume in any way. Enjoy!

Can you tell us why this recipe is important to you? Is it a family recipe, and is there any history or story behind it?

Snowy: Don’t.

Maya: Why does this sound real or is it real.

Snowy: it could be

Maya: Never going over to Snowy’s house to eat.

Anyways… Thank you Snowy for this yummy recipe!

With that, we’ve reached the end of the post. I know you wanted to read more XD but I will be back next time with more fresh and delicious content. If anyone would like to share a recipe with us, DM me with your ideas!

Bon Appetit! <3
