Hey Helpers! Welcome back to Faces of the Force, the series where a new helper is interviewed as we get to know them better! This week’s face is the wonderful Chrissy.
Chrissy joined HF only a few weeks ago, but she has quickly become one of the most active US members. Read the interview below to learn more about her!
Snowy: Hey Chrissy!

Snowy: Thank you for doing this interview with me! How are you doing today?
Chrissy: Thank you for letting me be an interviewee lol. I’m doing well–just had a heavy breakfast lol. How are you doing?
Snowy: I’m doing well too! What did you have for breakfast?
Chrissy: Well, i woke up very hungry this morning so i made an egg bagel sandwich. But that didn’t suffice my hunger so i decided to make huevos rancheros which is basically an egg frying on top of a tortilla. Oh, and i never forget the salsa 😋
Snowy: That sounds amazing 
I haven’t had huevos rancheros for a while, I think I’m going to make them tomorrow for breakfast now When did you first join HF?
Chrissy: Glad to have inspired you to do so lol. Lemme see….i think i joined somewhere midway December last year, 2021. Actually there’s a funny story to that. So i joined this past month because it was actually my boyfriend Rawbert, who got recruited by our NervousZippo, and then he told me about the discord so i joined. A little later after joining, i found out that i had an older account that joined all the way back in 2016? or so but i guess i was just never that active before because i do not recall being a member back then lol
That other account is no longer part of the server, so as not to create confusion of course lol
Snowy: Of course 
That sounds very exciting! Out of your time here, what’s been one of your favorite moments?
Chrissy: I don think there are specific pinpointed moments because things are always happening everyday. Like there’ll be members sharing their issues in this space and the rest of us consoling or cheering them up, and i enjoy that. Or all of us sharing memes and trolling and having fun lol. I actually been lifted up by laughing at some of the comments in the chat 😄
Snowy: I can definitely relate, being in the chat is always fun and uplifting
How about outside HF, what are some things you enjoy doing?
Chrissy: I’m very outgoing but i also very much like my space 😅 lol So i enjoy going on dates to the museums or zoos or the movies and trying to new places to eat at–i love food! 😋 At home, you can usually find me playing Sims, watching my spiritual/tarot card readings videos or videos of others making custom dolls and outfits and even settings for them which i find very cool and creative–gotta keep your inner child happy, or find me watching a movie or binging a show 😊
Oh! and i also love doing things with my nephew. He’s on of the best parts of my life ❤️
Snowy: Those are all great
I love food as well, is there something in particular you enjoy making?
Chrissy: In Mexican cuisine, sometimes it requires a lot of time to cook certain things but i think that’s the beauty of it. It tells the story of how these recipes and traditions have been passed down. It’s a connection. One of my favorite dishes, and one of the firsts ones i learned to make, is chiles rellenos 😋 It’s basically a poblano chile stuffed. Traditionally, it’s stuffed with cheese and/or meat. But as i am vegetarian and not a big fan of cheese, i stuff mine with freshly mashed potatoes. Yum!
Snowy: I love chiles rellenos, they’re definitely one of my favorite foods 😀 Mexican food is amazing
You mentioned you enjoy watching movies or tv shows, what is your favorite film?
Chrissy: Currently, it might be a bit cliche, my favorite film is Encanto. I’m not big for “mainstream” or “popular” things seeing as i dont like to feel like im jumping on the wagon. I want to take the time to enjoy these things and reflect on them and see the for their actual value, without the pressure of needing to like it just because it’s “in”. And Encanto was definitely a film that i think hit home for a lot of people. There were some topics that i think were generally relatable like wanting to make your family, especially your elders, proud but it becomes a constant burden of weight of always providing and showing that you are enough. I think in Isabela’s case, ladies understood more because not only are you looked at to be a perfect daughter, you also have to be an example of “lady-like” in order to prove you are in fact a woman. This movie is a good portrayal of needing to break out of the old stereotypical mindset, and embrace the differences of one another and how we have always been of worth.

Encanto is my favorite movie right now too, I love all of the songs and the message
