Song of the Week #51 Broken – Seether

Hey there helpers! Welcome back to the Song of the Week series. This week, I am joined by the amazing Chrissy! She gave me numerous songs to pick from, and in the end I settled on it by randomly selecting Broken by Seether!

Here’s what she had to say about the song:

I live for the early 2k sadge grungy alt songs. These songs are very emo ofc lol Broken is a song about grieving about a break up, a lost love. It has helped me come to accept that it’s okay for me to feel how deep of a connection I felt in my relationship. I have tried to fight the pain and heavy thoughts that have come with grievance, but my therapist says that’s not very healthy 😔 Anyway, these songs do help with reminding that this is just a phase/stage I’m going through at the moment and I will come out of it.
A great song suggestion! I remember in the peak of my emo phase listening to Seether on repeat whilst belting out the lyrics. This song is very relatable to those who feel like they’re struggling or going through something, and it makes you feel like it’s okay not to have everything sorted out in your life. The song swells into this cathartic chorus that really makes you want to cry your heart out.

Quiz timeee!!
