Hey there helpers! Welcome back to the Song of the Week series. For this very special edition, we have a double song feature! I am joined by Shorty who recommended the songs Turbulence and Ode to Joy by ATEEZ!
Here’s what she had to say about each song:
Turbulence:
There are songs you simply hear, and then there are songs that seem to find you exactly when you need them. If you ever have a few quiet minutes, I’d love for you to listen to “ Turbulence” by ATEEZ.It’s more than just a beautiful song to me it’s a gentle reminder for anyone who has ever felt lost, uncertain, or like they’re falling behind in life. Growing up isn’t always exciting. Sometimes it’s confusing, lonely, and full of questions that don’t have easy answers.“Turbulence” captures those feelings with so much honesty. It compares life to flying through a dark, stormy night, when you can’t quite see where you’re going but you keep hoping the sky will clear. What I love most is that it doesn’t tell you to be strong all the time. Instead, it reminds you that it’s okay to slow down, to breathe, to dream again, and to admit that you’re scared. You don’t have to have everything figured out today. You only have to keep moving forward, one small step at a time.If you’re carrying worries you haven’t shared with anyone, or if life feels heavier than usual, I hope this song can sit beside you for a while. Maybe it won’t solve everything, but perhaps it will make you feel a little less alone. I hope, when you listen, you hear not only the music, but the quiet message hidden within it: You are not lost forever. Even through the turbulence, you are still moving toward your own sky.Ode to Joy:
Ode to Joy has always felt like pure happiness wrapped in music to me. Every time I hear it, I can’t help but smile. One of my favorite things about this song is how beautifully it brings different worlds together. Hearing the familiar melody inspired by Ode to Joy into such a powerful modern song is something I never expected to love as much as I do.It feels grand and timeless, yet fresh and exciting at the same time. And then there are the vocals. Every voice carries so much emotion and confidence, the harmonies are gorgeous, and the rap fits so naturally that everything flows together perfectly. Nothing feels out of place. Every moment builds on the last until the whole song feels like one incredible celebration. What I love most is the feeling it leaves behind…It reminds me that music can make you feel alive in a way that’s hard to explain. It can make you want to sing, dance, smile, and just appreciate the people who created something so beautiful.
I hope when you listen, you don’t just hear the song—you feel it. I hope you notice the little details, the orchestra, the vocals, the energy, and the passion behind every line. And even if it doesn’t become your favorite song, I hope you’ll understand why it means so much to me. Thank you for taking the time to listen. It really means a lot to me, and I hope this song leaves a little bit of its joy with you, too.
