Hey there helpers! Welcome back to the Song of the Week series. This week I am joined by my fellow General, Sammie! She recommended the song Know Your Enemy by Rage Against the Machine

Here’s what had to say about the song:

I love the urgent, rebellious message and powerful, technically impressive instrumentation by the guitarist but most of their songs have that, the impressive just so good guitar rifts. I like the song’s themes of fighting against systemic corruption, abuse of power, just a good song right now haha.

What a tune! The tension builds right from the start and you are met with some serious attitude! The guitar is distorted and compliments Zack’s vocals well. RATM have a lot to say and a lot of their stuff still rings true today. There’s also a degree of groove to the riff that makes this song very catchy! Sammie is right – the techical ability and creativity of Morello’s guitar playing are very impressive in this song.
