Hi Helpers! Welcome back to a new edition of Around the HF World, the series where we explore Help Force’s members’ countries! In today’s post, I had the chance to learn more about Argentina from DearReux, a recently joined member who has been very active. So, let’s discover his country!

The Country Interview

I’m good too, thanks for asking! Let’s start our expedition by asking: What is your nationality? If you have more than one, mention them.

I’m Argentinian

Very interesting! Can you share some traditions from Argentina with us?

Well, in Argentina there isn’t so many traditions, but the most iconic are:
We love Soccer so much, the mayority of the country is fanatic of the soccer.
Also, us we have a classic dance style called Tango, a dance well known by his sensuality, usually danced by a man and a woman.
We like to eat Asado in the Sundays with all us family, The asado is like the argentinian barbecue, where we do it slowly and well cooked.
Argentina is a very big country, so not all the places have the same traditions, because the influence of Indigenous tribes and the arrive of the spanish to us country in 1516.
Also, so much traditions come from the Italians, because of the inmigration ocasionated by the WW2.

Wonderful traditions! What are some traditional Argentinian foods?

Well, In Argentina, we like:
The Asado (I already mentioned it but it’s a very very important food here)
The Mate, is like a herbal infusion, just made with yerba Mate and hot water, u can add whatever u want.
The Dulce de Leche, it’s like a nutella, the literal translation is Caramel of Milk, and it’s used in the most of the things here when u need something sweet
The empanadas, are like a taco, but closed and with another things inside, it can be of meat, chicken or whatever u want, mostly for accompain the Asado.
The Alfajor, is like a caramel cookie, it is like a sandwich, but instead of bread it has two soft masses and in the middle usually dulce de leche.
And in some parts, the wine is a common thing in Argentina.

Amazing! I have to try these if I ever get to visit Argentina! Is there any place/places in Argentina you recommend visiting?

Well, i recommend visiting The Metropolitan cathedral, The Pink House, The Cabildo, bc of their historical value, and Caminito, The Boca’s and River’s stadiums, bc they’re amazing places where u can find most of the things i mentioned, The Japanese garden bc his beauty, and the coast park, bc it’s a really cool park that u have to go if u want some fun.
Most of this places are in Buenos Aires, bc it’s where u go when u travel in plane, The insides of Argentina have much places too, but most people don’t go there, so i recommend the places of the capital, even if i don’t live there.

Interesting places to visit! Now, please rate your country in the three categories we discussed, using a scale of 1 to 10.

well, in traditions it’s a 7, bc there aren’t so many, but the one that we have are cool.
In food is a 10, the Argentinian gastronomy it’s a extense one and it’s very delicious.
and in places, 11, Argentina is a very large country, so we have LOTS of places to visit, so i think that it’s one of the best things we have

Finally, would you recommend that foreigners visit Argentina?

definitely, for foreigners Argentina will be a very good option, not only in the things i mentioned, for them, everything will be very cheap, and it will also help the situation of the country, it is a win for everyone
