Song of The Week #32: Let It Be

Greetings Helpers! Welcome back to the Song of the Week series. I have brought a fun-loving, always in the mood for tea, and someone who cannot function without being a diva and drama queen —please welcome Hailey!!! She recommended a reflective song called Let It Be by the Beatles.

Here’s what Hailey had to say about this song:

The reason why ‘Let It Be’ is an iconic song is that there are few lyricists who can explain major life changes and how you just have to watch and… let it be. it’s a song for a lot of scenarios, a break-up, leaving old friends, or just starting your life over, even tho you don’t necessarily want to, you just gotta let it be

Hailey’s got great taste, and it has been showing up in my Spotify Rewind playlist. The world has recognised The Beatles as one of the most influential bands in the music industry. Furthermore, when I listened to this song, it brought nostalgia and heart-wrenching memories. This song is a reminder to keep moving on, knowing there is more to life. The music resonates deeply with the listener as the gentle notes of the piano and McCartney’s soothing voice set the mood of acceptance of the changes and the past. Adding a gradual buildup of the organ, guitar, and percussion creates a sense of hopefulness; moreover, the guitar solo feels like a quiet release and freedom from the pain.

HEAR YE, HEAR YE, QUIZ TIME ME LADS AND LASSIES!!
