Howdy Helpers! Welcome back to the Song of the Week series. For all those that celebrate, I wish you all a very ecstatic Happy Halloween, and if it wasn’t then sleep is always the next best thing after along night. I have brought a lovely and dedicated staff member today, who HF could not function without, please welcome Alex!!! He recommended a very spooky coded song called You Make Me Feel Like It’s Halloween by Muse.

Here’s what Alex had to say about this song:
I like this song because it gives me Halloween vibes. In this spooky season it’s a perfect song to listen to, and try something new! Honestly, I searched for a Halloween song and this made my day. I recommend to listen to it, you will probably like it! 🎃
Undoubtedly, I agree with Alex, as Muse is one of my favourite alternative rock bands. When I had listened to this song as a apart of their album in 2022, it emotionally provoking and it has that iconic 80’s synthesisers and their drum sound with just the right amount of reverb as well as having spooky distorted vocals to add onto that top-tier complexity. The lyrical narrative explores themes of people who had faced domestic abuse during COVID-19.
HEAR YE, HEAR YE, QUIZ TIME ME LADS AND LASSIES!!
Let’s see how much you know about this week’s song and artist:
- In what year was You Make Me Feel Like It’s Halloween released?
- Which Muse album features this song?

- Muse is originally from which country?
