Help Force staff members are the representatives of the army, and the impression they make is extremely important. In this edition of the Origin Of The Name series, we will be delving into the story behind the name of one of our current staff, Runa.
Welcome to yet another episode of Origin Of The Name, where we dig deeper into the origin, inspiration and stories behind each unique username. Today, we shall be learning of how our dear beloved staff member, Runa got her username.
Hello Runa, would you be interested in sharing the origin of your name?
Oooh, yes please, I’d love to.
Thank you, so, tell us, where did the name Runa originate?
The origin of my name is, honestly, pretty simple.
When I first joined in 2021, I went by my username ‘wetwater’, but when I really became active, I started going by different names. I would find a profile picture and base my whole thing on it. I couldn’t keep a theme for that long, though, so I changed every week or so. One time, I went as Runa, a character from Kakegurui. I vividly remember what PFP I used, too. I stuck with it for a while, then changed to another one, but I was mostly called Runa because that’s the one people remembered me by. Soooo, in the end, I stuck with Runa as my name, which coincidentally rhymes with my actual name, for the past 4 years!
So it’s fine to say that Kakegurui, the anime drama series, is where your name originated?
Yes, pretty interesting anime, you should try to watch it sometime.
Thank you, I will try to when I get the time. So, has your name ever been misspelled?
It has, yes, quite a couple of times lol Ruan, buna, and a popular one, runs.
Hahaha, I can see why, it rhymes with a lot of words. Have you ever considered changing your name?
I have considered changing my name, but nothing special really came to mind. I think runa fits me the best, so every other name sounds out of place or wrong.
