Song Of The Week #29: This Angel Has Flown (Heaven Knows)

Hey, y’all Helpers! Welcome back to Song of the Week #29. I brought a great one for today, A dedicated Marshal and a part of the HF Power Troop, Miggie!!! He recommended a hype rock song called This Angel Has Flown (Heaven Knows) by Orange and Lemons.

Here’s what he had to say about the song:

This song is melancholic, yet the listening experience is so smooth. The soft rock vibe, with that dash of retro, makes it great for quiet nights or long, contemplative walks. The lyrics hit hard, especially the chorus: “I should have clipped her wings and made her mine / For all eternity.” It’s poetic, regretful, and haunting all at once while still maintaining the raw emotion of losing someone you loved so much, but they walked out of your life.  This would resonate with anyone who has ever had to let go of something or someone they desperately didn’t want to lose. He gave the loved one too much freedom to leave because he loved her, and he wished he could’ve kept his love, to stop her from leaving.

Thank you so much, Miggie!!

This song invoked a personal feeling of sorrow in me, definitely, and I’m sure it will for you, readers, as well. You can find it on YouTube Music, Spotify, and Apple Music. Give it a listen, and I’ll be back soon with another song!!
