Song of The Week #30: New Gold (feat. Tame Impala and Bootie Brown)

Wassup y’all Helpers! Welcome back to the Song of the Week series. I brought a surprise guest today who used to be apart of our staff team as a General, but now a no-rights visitor🙁, Akira-San!!! He recommended a great song called New Gold (feat. Tame Impala and Bootie Brown).

Here’s what Akira-San had to say about this song:

I’m personally a fan of Tame Impala and Gorillaz, and I had randomly stumbled upon the song while I was taking a stroll, and I took a huge liking to it. Now I like listening to it daily for like 5-10 times as its just chilling as well as the lyrics.

Thank you so much, Akira-San 😀

I agree with Akira, Tame Impala is absolutely chef-kiss. Their band was formed under Kyle Parker and their genre is a psychedelic Pop Alternative/Indie. When I had listened to this song, it’s emotionally appealing and it’s a mix of Tame Impala’s signature electronic psychedelia and Gorillaz’s funky/pop sound. The lyrical narrative explores themes such as societal replacement and consumerism as new things only come and go.

HEAR YE, HEAR YE, QUIZ TIME ME LADS AND LASSIES!!
