Hello Helpers!! Guess who is back with another blog! In this blog, I interview some of the Troops of Help Force and get to know them better. He has been a member of our help family since July 2024 and can always be seen around having a fun time on the chat, and is ranking up to being a First Lieutenant! This week, we are introducing you to the Faces of the Force, our very own GoldenYears!!
Please give a heartfelt welcome to Golden!! He is an active member of the Help Force, and his current rank is First Lieutenant. Golden has been an active member of our server and has made quite alot of friends!! Besides that, he is also a part of the CP Tracking Team! We are sure you know Him. He can always be seen having fun talking to people in the general chat of the HF server!!
Hey Golden! How are you doing today?
Hey Dhan! I’m doing just fine, getting ready for a new month, thank you for asking!
Amazing! Would you mind telling us how you joined the HF?
Oh, I have a bad memory, but from what I can recall, it was around 2 or 3 years ago. I was playing Club Penguin Online by myself, and saw Card Jitsu Ice just opened. When I went to play it, Ru and Diwix where there, we played a few good matches, and then they recruited me! So it was such a big coincidence to stumble upon each other
Since then, how have you been enjoying your time in Help Force? Do you have any fond memories of an event you participated in?
I have enjoyed this community so much. Everyone seems so nice.
I think my most fond memory was Ru’s Retirement Party. It was nice seeing such a close community celebrating one of our most cherished members, it was such a warm feeling
Would you like to tell us the origin of your username? “GoldenYears“
I love this question. I’m a huge David Bowie fan, and some time ago I was looking for a username that sounded cool. So I opened up a music playlist, hit shuffle, and ta-dah, Golden Years by Bowie started playing, and here I am now. It just so happens to be from my favorite album by him, and one of my favourite songs of all time.
Very interesting!! So, who do you consider your closest friend in HF?
That’s such a tough question. I have so many friends on HF that I cherish and love. There’s Ru, who’s always been there from the start. There’s Kofi, Gatitos, Godtech, Elp, Runa, Lisa, and Juanita, all of whom I have become close to recently.
How would you describe HF in 5 words?
I would describe it as “wonderful, always helping each other”
If you could change one thing about HF (or add anything), what would it be — and why?
I’d change the times when some events are held. They are always held when I’m at work early in the morning lol, but that’s just me. But you know what I mean, us having a 12h timezone difference and all.
What’s a fun “hidden talent” or hobby you have that most people in HF don’t know about?
I have a gemstones collection, and I can identify most of them with a quick inspection!
Do you like music? Is there a favourite artist or genre you listen to?
Oh I love music. I love to yap about it. I’ve got a CD collection too! I like The Beatles, David Bowie, Kali Uchis, Yves, Franz Ferdinand, Jungle, Gorillaz, Cibo Matto… and so on. I don’t like to stick to one artist or genre, I’m always looking to expand my musical panorama.
What kind of food do you enjoy?
Spicy food definitively! There’s something called Aguachile over here in mexico which I love so much. Spicy sea food’s my go-to.
Are you currently reading any books or watching any series? Which genre do you like the best?
I just finished watching Samurai Jack last week, and I’m currently finishing Batman Beyond. I’m also re-reading the manga JoJo’s Part 8: JoJolion physically, as they are publishing a new volume every month on my country. So you can kind of see what I like most: Action.
If you had a ticket to go anywhere in the world, where would it be? Would you like someone to tag along with you? If yes, who?
I think I’d like to go to England, Italy, or Japan. Mostly for the aesthetics. And I would go alone and meet people on there!
