Food for Every Soul » The Help Force

I started off by asking Kenzie some questions about the recipe she decided to share with us today!

Welcome Kenzie to our Recipe series interview! Can you tell us what recipe you will talking about today?

Kenzie: Hihi, I will be sharing the recipe for a Green Goddess Pasta recipe!

Can you tell us why this recipe is important to you? Is it a family recipe, and is there any history or story behind it?

Kenzie: I saw people make recipes online and adding vegetables in the sauce instead of eating them whole, as a person several deficiencies who doesn’t always like eating vegetables these kind of recipes just help with that vegetable intake while tasting amazing at the same time I guess.

But here comes the best part, the recipe! (As explained by Kenzie!)

You need:

» Walnuts

» Garlic

» Basil

» Spinach (blanched not raw pls)

» Parsley

» Green chillies (2-4 depends on your spice levels)

» Boiled peas

» Steamed broccoli

» A quarter zucchini (cooked)

» Cherry tomatoes

» Pasta of choice (Rigatoni if available)

» Parmesan

» Heavy cream

» EVO (extra virgin olive oil)

» Salt

» Dried herbs

Method: Add all the greens, vegetables(except cherry tomatoes),walnuts, chillies, garlic, salt and EVO to the blender or food processor and make a smooth paste you can use warm water or the pasta water to adjust the consistency.

Boil your pasta till its al dente, in the meantime chop the cherry tomatoes in halves or keep them whole if you like and put them in a pan with oil (do not put salt until the skin is all blistered otherwise it’ll turn soggy).

Now that everything is ready add the sauce in a pan let it simmer for a few minutes, add in the heavy cream and cheese, put in the tomatoes, dried herbs, pasta and toss well. Serve it with a drizzle of parmesan and enjoy

You can alter the recipe based on the ingredients available at your home

You can store the pasta sauce for 3 days in a glass container if refrigerated and 15 days if kept in the freezer

Creamy Green Goddess Pasta

Do you have any tips or tricks on making it or why people may like this recipe, or any memories from it?

Kenzie: The first time I made it I had no idea I had to cook the zucchini and I ended up with a super grainy sauce and I put in lemon as well so it was just the weirdest taste ever.

Thank you Kenzie for this very yummy recipe!

With that, we’ve reached the end of the post. I know you wanted to read more XD but I will be back next time with more fresh and delicious content. If anyone would like to share a recipe with us, DM me with your ideas!

Bon Appetit! <3
