Get To Know The HF Staff: Amy

Hey there Help Force! Your favorite blogger, moi, is back from a long hiatus. I’ll be getting back into blogging, starting with getting to know some of the HF Staff! Today, I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing Amy Santiago, our resident book nerd, 99th precinct fandom president, and awesome General. Without further ado, let’s get into the interview!

Komal: Hey Amy! To start off, I’d like to know how you’re doing today and what your pronouns are. 🙂

Amy: Hey thank you for having me! I’m doing good. I hope you are doing well aswell. I’m she/her 🙂

Komal: Aww ofc I’m so glad you’re doing this interview. So to get into it, why don’t you tell us when you first joined HF?

Amy: Well funny story I joined hf at the 10th of October but I was not active at all and Ru messaged me on the first week of November when Sam “recruited “ me again xD

Komal: That’s pretty cool lol. What’s your favorite book? I’m aware you love reading and I gotta know.

Amy: Okay the list is endless, truth be told. But I think a “Thousand Splendid Suns By Khaled Housseini ” was my favorite. The storyline was just way too beautiful and sentimental aswell. I probably sound like a lame person now but oh well.:haha~1:

Komal: Omg no ofc u don’t lol. I’m a book nerd too there’s nothing wrong with it hehe. Moving on, let’s talk about what your favorite food and/or cuisine is.

Amy: I know a book made us besties that’s the best thing about it . Okay I love butter naan with some gravy like I can have it anytime of the day ngl. I love absolutely love Italian food like I’m a huge fan I grew up watching food stuffs on tv and I used to see these beautiful creations by the Italian folks, Pure form of love right there xD

Komal: Ok bruh ofc the Grisha Trilogy is one of the best book series I’ve ever read. (This is a not so subtle plug to go read Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo) Anyways, I love butter naan it’s absolutely superior all other forms of naan. I’ve been meaning to ask, what’s your favorite memory in HF?

Amy: Yes you might wanna start reading the Grishaverse books kids. Soo I have like so many memories from HF and it’s from every different people. Each and every memory is unique but the closest one to me is I think the first time I was on VC with Ru and Mandal just 3 brown kids chilling I was very nervous to talk on VC and I thought it would be very awkward and bad, but these guys were very sweet and we had an amazing time.:green_heart:

Komal: Awww that’s awesome! I gotta join that brown kids group.:eyes: What do you enjoy doing irl besides reading?

Amy: Uhh I do love to cycle a lot just take on a long spontaneous ride into the forest and enjoy the sunset! Truly one of the most beautiful things on earth.

Komal: Omg that’s really cool! I used to cycle to work every day when I couldn’t drive lol. And last but not least, what’s your favorite Chris Evans movie and in which do you objectively think his acting is the best out of all of his work so far?

Amy: Okay ily for bringing him up ! So my favorite movie was this Rom com called as “What’s your number” I think he was super good looking and the character was very cute but acting wise he did a great job in Snow piercer and Gifted both movies are like drastically different and he did an amazing job justifying the character. And no just cuz I might be his fan you all may think I’m sugar coating it but no. Do watch Gifted and Snow piercer if you have time 🙂

Komal: HAHAHAHA my personal fav Chris Evans movie is Gifted, the storyline is just beautiful and perfect and his acting is so good. I guess that concludes our (super long) interview! Thank you so much for taking the time to speak to me today. Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Amy: Aah that’s why we were destined to be friends. I just wanna thank you again for considering me for this interview.:green_heart: I had a fun time.

Komal: Aww ily Amy I’m glad we got to do this 🙂 I hope everyone enjoys reading this interview as much as I enjoyed doing it <3

That’s it for this post! Keep an eye out for another one in a couple weeks to get to know another member of the Help Force staff team. Signing off, Komal.
