Food for Every Soul

Hello Helpers! Welcome back to another edition of Food for Every Soul by myself, Mayathefirst! In this series I interview people from the Help Force about their favorite and famous recipes. For this weeks recipe, I decided to interview one of our og Junior Staff who came back to help, HF Lieutenant General: Dhanush!

I started off by asking Dhanush some questions about the recipe he decided to share with us today!

Welcome Dhanush to our Recipe series interview! Can you tell us what recipe you will talking about today?

Dhanush: Today I’ll be telling yall how to make Mango Rice

Can you tell us why this recipe is important to you? Is it a family recipe, and is there any history or story behind it?

Dhanush: Nah there is no story its just my favorite dish which includes raw mango so I gotta always wait for the season to eat it and also something I can easily make.

But here comes the best part, the recipe! (As explained by Dhanush!)

» First you wash a raw mango, and peel the skin or else you will be doing a mistake

» Then grate it and put it aside, next you get a pan and put a medium flame and pour the oil

» Add chana dal, urad dal, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, red chillies, peanuts and roast them all!

» Next add asafoetida powder, curry leaves and roast them more, now you add that grated raw mango and green chillies and ginger

» After that all, you add salt and turmeric powder and mix it

» Now in this mixture add cookedrice and mix it properly, and then voila its ready!

Do you have any tips or tricks on making it or why people may like this recipe, or any memories from it?

Dhanush: If yall need quantity do watch a YouTube video on how to make it (see a south Indian video ty)

Thank you Dhanush for this very yummy recipe!

With that, we’ve reached the end of the post. I know you wanted to read more XD but I will be back next time with more fresh and delicious content. If anyone would like to share a recipe with us, DM me with your ideas!
