Legends Cup: Chronicles of a Helper

‘Omg! It’s already 7am!’ said Stella as she woke up from her deep slumber, rubbing her eyes as she tried to look for her glasses. It was a new day, a Monday to be exact, and she was beyond excited to get started with her day. Why was she excited you ask? She had just reached the Novice Corporal rank and was feeling pretty good about competing for the Gamer of The Week title that week. She quickly got her breakfast and brought it to her room and started slurping on some milk and cornflakes while she scrolled through the server looking for info about events. Legends Cup was starting next week, and she was getting geared up to put on a performance and impress the staff with her enthusiasm. ‘Ping!’ her desktop notifications went off.. there was a recruitment segment starting and she couldn’t wait to get some recruits and earn some sapphires! ‘I’m going to top the leaderboard this week and win my first GoTW, at long last..’ She had been trying for the past two weeks and always kept coming in at second place. However, this week was different, she could feel it, she knew in her heart that this week was hers for the taking! The exhilaration of finally competing in her first ever Legends Cup was killing her, and she couldn’t wait for the week to get over. She managed to attend everything that the staff put out, be it recruitment segments, fun events, training sessions, she did them all. Several training sessions later, sleepless nights, blood, sweat, and tears and it was time to finally rest. As she lay down to sleep, she envisioned herself in the battle, fiercely sending emotes and tactics, while ensuring things were in formation. Only time would tell, and time was running by, fast..
