Recruits are what keep our army alive and kicking. With every new person, our family grows bigger and becomes more fun to be a part of. That is why the idea emerged to give new recruits a chance to voice their opinions. At the same time, the vets get to reminisce about their time as new recruits and find relatable points with our newest members. Thus, let us take a look at the Help Force through the eyes of a new recruit.
In this post, we meet Samari, one of the recent additions to the Junior Staff team. Samari is currently a Brigadier in the Help Force. However, it has only been one month since she joined the army. As they say, it is the fastest promotion in the history of the force! She is also one of the sweetest and funniest people you can talk to in HF.
Hi, Samari, welcome to the interview! How are you doing today?
Hello Dylan! Thank you for having me(:
I’m doing quite fantastic actually! How about you?
I’m doing great too!
You have quite an interesting nickname. How did you come up with it? What does it mean?
Glad to hear that! Aahh, thank you π ‘Samari’ was first coined for me when my grandfather (maternal) visited me! Though it has many meanings, such as: A gift from God. I personally love it because, my grandfather named me after the day I was born. Which is Monday. Also known as, ‘Somvar’ in my native language!
When and how did you join the Help Force?
So, i joined not so long ago! Tomorrow marks 1 month of me joining the Help Force hahaπ
I first stumbled across an emoji from a separate server and thought of joining the server it came from because, I could see that it was in relation to club penguin! Which just so happens to be my favourite childhood game(:
That’s incredible! You got promoted to Junior Staff so quickly!
17 days…yes! I was not expecting that to happen for me! But, I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and I hope to right by my post and HF π
Moving on to your journey in HF, could you share what your experience has been like since joining?
If I could describe this entire experience in just one word, it’d be “Thrilling”! I’ve enjoyed each and every single passing moment in the Help Force. I sure do hope that there are plenty more memories to make in this lovely place π«Ά
What are your thoughts on HF both as an army and as a community?
Like we all always say and believe: Help Force is Best Force! Haha(:
I think this community is just absolutely lovely! My initial thoughts after joining were, “I think I’ve found my people!”. And there’s no better feeling than that! I feel like I belong here(:
I see you’re active in CPA too! How did you find out about it, and what has your experience been like there?
I was forwarded the link to join the server by a fellow comrade! And I’m glad I joined. It feels like a fun hangout lounge area for all the troops π The interactions between all the army members is just heartwarming to witness! I personally love the whole vibe of CPA. And I’d be delighted to see more members joining us in the futureπ
Considering your involvement, do you foresee joining any teams within CPA in the future?
I don’t think I will. I’m pretty content being a member of the Help Force. And as much as I love our allies, I just cannot picture myself in any other team π HF is my home π«Ά
Who are the people you are closest to in HF, and which members have helped you since joining?
I have been helped by everyone in the team! And they are all always so kind and sweet to me(: Though I’m still getting familiarised with everyone still, I love my banters with @pinktheking! And Ru is just lovely to interact withπ
If I had to fit everyone who’s been of help to me since I’ve joined, I think this message will turn into a three page long essay hahaπ
What is your favorite aspect of HF? Is it recruiting, battles, normal events, Arcadium events, just hanging out in the server, or something else?
I haven’t found much luck in recruiting haha! I do however hope that changes for me sooner than later π
I do however enjoy every bit of interacting with the new recruits and helping them out, whether it be setting up their cpab account or getting their hf uniform! It honestly is the best feeling to watch how excited or sweetly nervous they get about being a new comrade! I remember my initial days here and I was the same haha! But I had some lovely people help calm me down and I hope to be of the same use to the newer recruits π«Ά
What do you usually do outside of HF?
I do have this joke about me that I’m a 38 yr old married lady with a son and a husband π and many times it does confuse people in the chat! I’d like to use this opportunity to clarify that it’s not true! I’m writer hobbyist who’s very happily living with her family and two dogs π I also am an eager learner of the world of psychology and will be pursuing a career in criminal psychology(:
Wait, so how old are you really?
To keep things a bit of a mystery, I’ll just say that I’m younger than what I claim to be π
What do you usually write about?
A lot of my work is drawn from my life experiences. Currently I’m working on a poem for my late grandfather (paternal)
What are your goals in HF? Do you think you could potentially lead the army one day?
I know I will lead the army someday! I am very headstrong even though I take a little time to come around (:
That’s great! How about your real-life goals, aside from your career?
Right now I’m just trying to focus on my health and wellbeing. I have a long way to go before I can claim to be “fit” π
What are your hobbies? What are your favorite movies or series to watch?
Like i mentioned, I’m a writer hobbyist. But I also enjoy baking! I love being in the kitchen and seeing my hardwork come to life in forms of tasty dishes π
As per movies and tv shows, I’m a die hard fan of the movie ‘The Trueman Show’. It’s my all-time favorite π I also loved watching the 2009 artistic brilliance, ‘Do Paise Ki Dhoop, Chaar Aane Ki Baarish’! And for my favourite TV series, I’d say “Mindhunter” tops the chartπ
I heard you have pets too! Can you tell us more about them?
Oh, this has to be my favourite question so far! I love talking about my dogs SOOO MUCH π They are my absolute angels! And I do call them “furry angels” from time to time. The older one is a Labrador Retriever. His name is Cooper and he’ll be turning 7 years old on the 10th of this month(:
The younger one is an Indie Mix. I rescued him when he was just a puppy of 45 days. His name is Mickey and he turned 5 years old on the 2nd of February this year!
How about music? Who are your favorite artists?
I love music! It’s like free therapy for me π Though I am a very shy singer, I have performed in front of rather large crowds(:
I love the work of Indian artists like A. R Rehman, Shreya Ghoshal, Mohit Chauhan…and many MANY more!
I also enjoy songs from, Novo Amor, Sufjan Stevens, Adele, Taylor Swift, Patrick Watson, Billie Eilish and so many more π«Ά
That’s great to know! It was lovely talking to you, thank you for doing this interview!Β
Aahh, it was wonderful conversing with you today Dylan π
Once again, thank you for having me! And have a lovely rest of the day (:
