*gasp* Finally, a breath of fresh air. It feels so good to temporarily escape from Wynn’s basement. Temporarily, because it is obvious she will soon track me down and drag me back inside. And I would be a really shitty musician if catching up on the latest music wasn’t the first thing I did after escaping. Thus, presenting to you, Song Of The Week #18!
This week’s Song Of The Week is brought to us by Samari! As if that was ever a doubt. Samari has been slowly taking over the Help Force, despite being here for barely a month. And now, she has broken into the local music scene too! The song of the week is “Rehna Tu”, by the Indian musical genius A. R. Rahman. Here’s what Samari had to say about the song:

This song sits heavy on my heart. The lyrics of this song translate the abstract dialogues of wanting someone completely and wholly as they are. To not want to change the one you love, but to know them, to learn everything about them and to accept them for who they are. I think it’s just beautiful to say, “तुझे बदलना न चाहूँ रत्ती भर भी सनम” (I don’t even want to change an iota of you, my love)It takes courage to be vulnerable in today’s world and the comfort of knowing that someone will love every inch of you because you’re loved unconditionally by them has got to be the most transcendental experience one can have.
I genuinely love this song with all my being! And I do relate to the lyrics from different perspectives for the ones I love. It needn’t be romantic, but my love will always be indubitable for those who have me in their lives. I don’t bargain when it comes to love. It’s one of the purest emotions and it should be expressed wholeheartedly, without hesitation or apathy.
