All good times have to come to an end. It has been a pleasure to be staff and then Commander alongside all of you, and I know that the next generation will continue to bring the fun and energy that has made HF into the great army that it is today.
I’ve seen Help Force through four years, 3 CPPS, innumerable wars, and nearly twenty Commanders. I’ve been here through the highs and the lows and I’ve watched and aided as we achieved incredible things together. To say goodbye to something so significant seems impossible, but here we are.
The Story
I first joined Help Force during August 2018, when I was recruited from the town in CPO by someone named Virtuuso, unfortunately. If you’ve met him then you understand. I was inactive for a few months but eventually started joining events and recruiting. In December 2018, I was offered co-leader in another army called the Fashion Army, and I took the opportunity. I was away from HF until I was offered Moderator and rejoined in February.
From there I was staff for 6 months, the only US staff other than Mr. Greatest himself. I retired in August and didn’t come back until January 2021. At this point, the infamous January drama had begun and I was asked by Ayan to become Moderator once again to help. I accepted and stayed as staff afterwards, ranking up until I eventually became commander in December. From there I have led alongside Wynn through multiple tournaments and wars, and out of the four years I have to look back on, it’s been my favorite part by far. Some of my favorite moments include reaching the March Madness finals, crushing SWAT during the war, and the smaller things in between. Hosting segments, leading events, banning Javi for gambling in the main chat. I have no doubt that my successors will bring Help Force to even greater heights than I could imagine.
The People
Mantiuxx – You’re one of the most husbands of all time. If someone told me a few years ago I’d marry a broke Hispanic on Discord I don’t think I would understand but I’m very glad that I did. You’re one of my favorite people, ever, and I’m super glad that we ended up as close as we are. Also, you suck.
Maya – Honestly I’m not sure how we ended up as friends (I think it was being muted together during US chaos hours?) but I’m so grateful that we did. Being your twin has been nothing but fun and excitement and, well, you know the rest. Hurry up and quit your job so I can drop out and we can move to Ireland together. No life like herding sheep and living thousands of miles from everyone else, right? Ily and please get more sleep.
Diwix – You are the best friend I could ask for and more. Thank you for letting me spam your dms with random memes I have and for always being there for me. I think we’ve been friends for 2 (3?) years now, isn’t that crazy? Give me a few months to finish school and then we’ll go invade Poland together as planned. I know that you wanted my retirement post to be more about curry and less about me but I cannot write about something so abominable. I hope you understand.
Wynn – I don’t know where to begin. You were the most amazing co-leader to ever exist and I wouldn’t have wanted to do this with anyone else. Thank you for everything you’ve helped me with, you truly have no idea how much you mean to me. Don’t tell anyone but I’m secretly learning Polish so that one day I can start speaking it in front of you and freak you out 🙂
Rooboo – Please stop trying to steal my husband from me, or me from my husband, I’m not sure which it is anymore. We are both in a dysfunctional relationship and wish for it to remain that way. All that aside, you’ve really come a long way and I’m very proud to see you where you are today. You’re gonna do great things, Roo.
Desireus – I’ve known since you were a Marshal that you were going to be Commander one day. Your devotion and energy given to HF are unmatched and you’re going to do great things right alongside Rooboo. I’ve left a spare tire in my office for you to pick up and use on a car of your choice. Please remember to leave the door in the door frame on your way out.
Elp – Never have I met someone so chaotic before. The past year may have been… more peaceful without you, but it would have been harder and less fun too. You were a big help during my leadership, with both serious and chaos related things, and I’m very grateful for all the support you have provided. Please stop sending the IRS to my house, I’m too busy setting my tax returns on fire to answer the door.
Ayan – Wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you, twice. I know things have changed over the past few months but I want you to know that I don’t regret a single thing. Everything happens for a reason and I know that we’ll still be friends like 50 years from now. Don’t kill any of my cats or I kill you too.
Edgy – My oldest friend on Discord and an all-around amazing person. You’re an amazing friend (when you’re not spam-calling me) and I have a feeling that we’re going to be friends for a long time. We’ll meet in the middle one day and play Minecraft together, ily.
Javi – You’re leading the US timezone now. I know you’ve had a bit of a bumpy ride as staff, what with all the demotions and mutes and bans and threats to take your bot money away, but you’ve really come a long way from where you started. I’m very proud of you and please, for the love of god, don’t go afk to gamble again when you vc lead for events. I’ll keep sending you amogus memes in dms, don’t worry.
Nightfury, Plotter, Choco, Jo, Pantera, Bean, Beasto, Ally, Juanita, Janez, Yoda, Ao, Scorp, Nell, Vedant, Joe, Ru, Vanish, Alex, Nervous, Chrissy, Planet, Wiggly, Phoenix, Zenishira, Komal, and everyone who’s made my time here memorable: Thank you guys for everything. I can’t thank everyone individually or it’d be a very long post, but I want you to know that I’m grateful for everything. Thank you for making HF what it is today and for all the fun memories, I’ve had a hell of a time <3
It’s been a wild ride, guys, but I wouldn’t have wanted to see it through with anyone else. For those of you who hope to rank up and achieve things in the army, I have complete faith in you. Keep on attending events, recruiting, and helping out your fellow comrades and you’ll get there in no time.
Due to irl reasons, I have decided not to take on the rank of Trustee. I’ll still be in Help Force and I’ll keep my dms open for anyone who wants to stop by and chat.
