Get To Know The HF Staff: Snowy

Greetings Help Force! After a short hiatus due to the joys of exams, the sexiest staff interviews are back! This week I had the pleasure of interviewing Snowy, one of HF’s Esteemed Admirals and also the author of Snowy’s Nap Segments! We talked all things HF and of course Ketchup! Right, Let us dive right into the interview shall we?

Maisie: Hey Snowy!

Snowy: Hey Maisie!

Maisie: How are you doing today?

Snowy: I’m doing good, thank you! How are you?

Maisie: I’m great! Thank you so much for doing this interview! To start us off could you introduce yourself to the readers?

Snowy: Sure! I’m Snowy, an admiral in HF. You’ve probably seen me in vc or in the chats before

Maisie: Amazing, take us back when did you join HF?

Snowy: I joined back in August 2018. I’m not sure what the exact day is, but I know it’s somewhere in the middle of the month

Maisie: Oh wow that’s so long! What would you say has been most memorable from your time in HF?

Snowy: So many things . If I had to pick one, though, I’d go with April Fools 2019. Juanita and I switched pfps and names, it was a blast XD

Maisie: Aw that sounds so fun! How long did it take you to make staff and have you got any tips for those who want to eventually become staff?

Snowy: I got staff about 6 months after I joined, around 5 months after I became active. For those of you who are aiming for staff: stay active, attend events, and do your best to keep the chat alive

Maisie: Amazing, outside of HF what do you enjoy doing?

Snowy: I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, reading, and, of course, cooking!

Maisie: Ah yes cooking! Have you got any ketchup recipes that you can share with us??

Snowy: No

Maisie: It was worth a try :hehe~1:

Snowy: xD

Maisie: What would you say your greatest achievement is?

Snowy: Getting a blackbelt felt like a pretty big accomplishment! It took quite a few years

Maisie: Oh wow that’s amazing! If you could play one song for the whole of HF on VC what would it be?

Snowy: The pina colada song :juanhue:

Maisie: Oh a classic for sure, before we go have you got anything you would like to tell the readers?

Snowy: Long live the rats, no ketchup ty, and remember to wash your hands

Maisie: Thank you so much Snowy!!!

Snowy: Thank you for the interview! :luv:

And there we have it, folks! Unfortunately no Ketchup recipes today but be sure to tune in next time to get to know more of the fabulous HF Staff!

Get to Know the Help Force Staff: lafilleaveclevisage(Taylor)

Hey Helpers! This time we have our wonderful and newest US General, Taylor, commonly more known as lafilleavelevisage! She is a lovely member of the Help Force and we can’t wait for you to get to know her more!

Everything in the block-quotes has not been edited in any way except for grammatical errors.

Jayden: Hey Taytay! Let’s start off with an easy one, how long have you been in the Help Force?

Taylor: Hi Jayjay! I’ve been with Help Force for about 4 months now!

Jayden: ooooo that’s quite a short amount of time! How long have you been staff?

Taylor:  Since July 10th, so about three weeks which is super crazy for me to think about. It feels like so much longer yet it’s flown by so quickly

Jayden: oh wow thats great! So, how does it feel being staff?

Taylor: It was super scary at first, but now that I’ve gotten close with a lot of the staff it’s a lot less intimidating and actually quite fun! Quite a bit more work than I was expecting there to be behind the scenes, but it’s been easy to get used to and simplify 🙂

Jayden: yay! we are definitely not intimidating whatsoever! What would be your favourite tactic, formation and room?

Taylor: Hmm, that’s a hard one. I really like the X formation because it’s simple but looks really good. I like stadium because it’s symmetrical, easy to do most formations in, and it has nice lines and circles that help others figure out formations quicker. I don’t know that I have a favorite tactic though… maybe Grub! because it’s so random and funny…

Jayden: What is your favourite thing to do in HF?

Taylor: My favorite thing would probably be battles. Being a part of Legends Cup was so cool and it really opened my eyes to how fun being a part of HF is

Jayden: Ah yes! Legends Cup X, an amazing month for HF no doubt! What about outside of HF?

Taylor: Yes for sure! Outside of HF I enjoy hanging out with my friends, listening to music, and working out

Jayden: So what is your favourite game on Club Penguin?

Taylor: My favorite game in the original Club Penguin was cardjitsu water, but now that I can’t play it anymore I’d have to go with sled racing because it’s quick but fun

Jayden: ah yes CJ Water and Snow probably one of the best games out there! Finally, what would be your favourite colour?

Taylor: My favorite color is either red or light, bright blue

And that’s Taylor everyone! Make sure to give her a big ol’ hi and give her a “Hey Stinky” from me as well! If you want to chat with Taylor anytime, DM her on this account over on discord! lafilleaveclevisage#0721 To see more of the other staff interviews just go-ahead to the search bar and type in “Get to Know the Help Force Staff”!

Know Your Leaders: Tistle

Hey everyone! For those of you who aren’t familiar, a long time ago, one of our moderators, Crystal started a series. A series where people used to want to know more about who was leading their army. So we had posts with them called “Know your Leaders”. I decided to bring them back starting up with our First-In-Command Tistle!

Jayden: How did you find HF and when was it? Why did you join?

Tistle: I was on CPO one afternoon just playing some old minigames from my childhood after seeing some friends from school online. I stumbled across a group of Stamp Collectors in the Snow Forts, and naturally I followed them around. They then said to join “Help Force” which I did and that’s how I joined.

Jayden: How did you get to your current position?

Tistle: It’s passed a year since I first joined, and almost 10 months since I was made a moderator. In the 2 months I spent outside of Staff, I attended segments pretty frequently (5 Vet Helpers in a row) but unfortunately I didn’t get GoTW. I was first really noticed during the Harry Potter Trivia, which is still my favourite HF event to this day. From there, Spotty made me a trial moderator and I worked hard through every rank to get Commander in December and lone Commander at the end of May. It’s been quite the rollercoaster!

Jayden: What is it like to have so many responsibilities within the army?

Tistle: Responsibilities are just part of the bundle of being an admin in a server. Anyone with administration permissions in any large community is expected to work hard to keep the community active, and that has always been a top priority for me. Since October, I’ve been looking after practically everything higher-end in HF, and I’ve always been looking for more ways to keep the place exciting. Hiring Staff, leading battles, big announcements… it’s all a bit daunting at first, but with experience the fear is swapped with enjoyment.

Jayden: Were you in any other armies before HF or have you been in other armies after you joined HF?

Tistle: Nope, Help Force was my first ever army. I played the Original CP, but I had no idea armies or even communities existed. CPO was my first CPPS in mid 2019 and I’ve been loyal to Help Force ever since I joined.

Jayden: Do you have any other experiences of being staff on a community or a discord server?

Tistle: Yes, but nothing quite as large-scale as this. I’m a fast learner and I had to learn discord inside-out while being a moderator in Help Force to prove I was worthy of being an admin. Once you get the hang of permissions and roles, everything falls into place.

Jayden: Are there any challenges you see in HF right now that you are trying to overcome?

Tistle: The main challenge in Help Force is always to maintain activeness and enthusiasm. With the introduction of the HF Island, we’re hoping that this will boost activity and the motivation to be a more integral part of the community for newer members. Maxing well in events is vital to being a successful army. But I’ve always said it, we’re more than just an army, we’re a family.

Jayden: When an argument breaks out between leaders or staff or even helpers, how is it handled? if it is any different, how?

Tistle: This is a great question, and one that even with an explanation, it’ll be hard to really follow instructions. My top advice would be to calm the situation down. Remove the mood of the conversation away and focus on where the problem lies, whether it be an individual person or a group. Since the end of May, I’ve had full control over many scenarios and alongside my HCOM team, we work tirelessly to find what went wrong, and how we can all learn from it. I won’t list anything hear, but it’s crucial as a leader that problems are resolved as fast as possible and making sure everyone is okay afterwards.

Jayden: Do you have advice for those who are working their way to be moderators?

Tistle: My best advice if you’re working to be a moderator is, attend segments! That’s the best way to get noticed among the staff and often when picking new trial moderators, I consult the staff of a specific time zone to get the right person. There’s a bit of luck involved, but it’s mainly down to activeness, behaviour and segment/event attendance!

Jayden: Finally do you have anything to say to everyone reading this?

Tistle: I’m proud to be the leader of this great army and community. We hit great heights in our Legends Cup campaign and we must work as a family to make sure we continue to be a Force to be reckoned with. Help Force, Best Force :adv_uni:

We hope you got to know a little bit more about Tistle and how he takes things as a leader! He has brought this army to great heights and we applaud him for doing that! If you see him in discord, be sure to give him a quick hey! Help Force Best Force!

Get to Know the Help Force Staff: Holly

Hey Helpers! It’s been a while but it’s here! The staff interviews are back! This time we have the beloved EU General, Holly! She is a wonderful moderator and has been in the help force for quite a while! Let’s get to know her!

Everything in the block-quotes has not been edited in any way except for grammatical errors.

Jellyfish: Hi holly! How long have you been in the Help Force?

Holly: Since February of this year technically

Jellyfish: ooo that’s great, how is it to moderate chats and host segments and events?

Holly: It’s really fun actually. Can be a little bit challenging at times, but coming from a management background it’s fun to have some form of authority back

Jellyfish: A lot of people know already, but why is your role called 24/10/2020?

Holly: Aha! This is my due date for my little girl to be born hehe

Jellyfish: awww that’s cute!

Holly: And she better not be any later than that date either

Jellyfish: ahaha :fingers_crossed: So what’s your favourite tactic when leading?

Holly: Well tbh I’ve only lead 1 event so far sadly but it’d have to be a big effect formation such as X or V with a good old “Help Force Best Force”

Jellyfish: Aw that’s sad but yes! HFBF!!

Holly: Agreed

Jellyfish: What would be your favorite thing to do outside of the Help Force?

Holly: Given the worlds current situation, it’s a little hard to do anything. But definitely meet up with friends, I love my job and miss it a lot.

Jellyfish: awww that sucks, but hey things are getting better! slowly but they are!!

Holly: Yeah aha thankfully. I’m just grateful I found helpforce during this time

Jellyfish: We are always here to help! :party_potato: So, what would be your favorite game in club penguin?

Holly: Either Cart Surfer or fishing!!

Jellyfish: ooo fun, 2 games on polar opposites haha. finally, What’s your favorite color?

Holly: Piiiiiink

And that’s that! If you see Holly around make sure to give her a quick hi! Hope you guys enjoyed an interview with the wonderful Holly and got to know a little bit more about her! There are so many mods you may not know, but don’t worry! We will get to them soon! But for now, we do have other staff that has already been interviewed so go ahead and give that a read!
